Shopify Store Developer

Salary: ₦250,000 a month
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Store Developer to join our team and take ownership of building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify e-commerce stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Shopify platform, experience with front-end and back-end development, and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps
- Customize existing Shopify themes based on design and functionality requirements
- Integrate third-party APIs and Shopify apps
- Optimize store performance, speed, and responsiveness
- Implement payment gateways, shipping rules, and tax configurations
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to the store’s functionality and user experience
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, marketers, and content teams
- Ensure mobile and cross-browser compatibility
- Stay updated with Shopify’s latest updates, tools, and best practices
- Provide support and training for store management and updates
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer (portfolio required)
- Proficient in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus, Storefront API, and GraphQL is a plus
- Experience with third-party integrations and Shopify apps
- Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or proven equivalent experienc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless Shopify (using Next.js, React, etc.)
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms is a plus (WooCommerce, Magento, etc.)
